Good Morning!

I wanted you to be the first to hear that there is a special bird that we will look for this morning.  We are going to see if we can get that bird to come out this morning.  :)

Announcements:  We will be leaving about 9am for our field trip.  Our class will tour with our class.  We will be splitting our group up in two groups for the Civil War portion.  We will rejoin and split into 4 groups as we go on a scavenger hunt in the Dinosaur area.  We will eat lunch with friends in Mr. Wild's class at lunch.  After lunch we get to enjoy a planetarium experience with a special showing just for Meadowlark's 3rd grade.  We will return around fish.  We have music from 2:15-2:45.  We will have recess from 2:45-3:00.  We will finish up our math art and start explanations.  

Remember our school etiquette for field trips.  You need to be listening to speaker, voices off, and hold questions until after speaker is finished talking.  Please do not touch exhibit pieces unless our guide has said too.  If you get compliments as a group you will get 8 points.

We have H.E. today from 9:30-10:15.  I have duty this morning.  I am having a lot of students coming back before recess or after eating to collect things from his or her locker.  Please have everything you need for recess when you leave the room.  We will be working on writing, a grammar webquest, introduction to fraction and identifying cause and effect text structures today.  Class pet will be coming soon!

We have H.E. today from 9:30-10:15.  I have duty this morning.  We will be writing our chapters and meeting with writing partner in writing.  We will continue with descriptive text structure in reading and meet with reading partners today!  We will continue to master our multiplication facts in math.  We will finish the battles of the Civil War and take a virtual tour.  Lets have a great day.  Remember to make positive choices!

Good Morning and welcome back!

Thank you to those who participated in "We Love to Read Month."  It was so much fun!

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  We have a very busy week this week.  We will be going to the library around 11:30 today.  It will be our classroom and Mr. Wild's.  We will be eating lunch there.  We will need to eat quietly.  :)  Please remember that a good audience has eyes on the entertainer, is not partaking in side conversations while the music is still playing, you clap at the end of a song, and we always thank our entertainers and the library.  Let the host see we are very mature and they can invite us back.  :)

We will be getting Chromebooks tomorrow.  I am looking forward to all the projects it will allow us to do!  I am so excited for us!  With great tools comes great responsibilities.  Our water bottles will nee need to remain on the counters now, as we will be using the devices a lot through out the day.  We will have to keep our classroom much clean than we currently do as a whole.

We will have a classroom meeting today after we get back from the library.  We have a lot to talk about.  :)

Remember kindness is the only way to treat each other.  Kindness fills your heart and soul with all the right things.  Anger and unkindness drag you and others down.  Please report when someone is not being the best that he or she can be and is hurting you.
